Ethical Procedures and Plagiarism

Ethical responsibilities of the authors:
All authors who submit articles to the journal are expected to comply with universal ethical principles in their studies. These principles are; accuracy in scientific method, data and analysis accuracy, corporate honesty, impartiality and social responsibility.


In Research Articles, the ethical consent document must be submitted with the other files. The ethic approval of the study should indicate from which institution the consent document was obtained, together with the date and number, both in the "Materials and Methods" section and just before the references at the end of the article. In case reports and studies involving humans, a statement indicating that written informed consent was obtained from patients and volunteers following a detailed explanation of the procedures they may undergo should be included in the “Materials and Methods” section. For photographs that may reveal the identity of the patients, the signed permission of the patient or his legal representative should be attached and publication approval should be given in the "Materials and Methods" section. In animal studies, the measures taken to prevent animal pain and suffering should be clearly stated.
For human studies, the statement that the Declaration of Helsinki is complied with should be added to the "Materials and Methods" section.

Authors should avoid approaches that may harm the trust in the journal, the professionalism of scientific authorship and the entire scientific study by presenting research results incorrectly. It should not be under evaluation in another scientific journal at the same time and should not be published in another journal. The authorship rights of the accepted article, the accuracy of the study data and results are the responsibility of the article authors. In case of claims by third parties who are not named in the article, the responsibility to arise belongs to the author, and if the truth of the claim is proven, the article should be withdrawn by the author. No data, text or theory of others is presented as the author's own ("plagiarism"). Although authors are not required to upload plagiarism reports, they are strongly encouraged to upload the plagiarism report. When necessary, the journal may use a software (iThenticate by CrossCheck; http://www.ithenticate.com/) to detect plagiarism at any time during the peer review and/or production process. The highest plagiarism rate accepted by the journal is 20%, excluding references and abstracts. If requested, authors should be ready to submit relevant documents or data to verify the validity of the results presented. In the event of alleged or suspected research misconduct, such as plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data forgery / fabrication, the Editorial Board will follow and act in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Types of manuscripts for which ethical approval is required: Ethical approval must be obtained from all clinical studies, regardless of whether they are retrospective, cross-sectional or prospective. Ethical consent is not required for reviews and case reports. For case reports, written consent must be obtained from the patient and stated in the "Materials and Methods" section.
Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with the above-mentioned guidelines. The author will be held responsible for any misrepresentations or non-compliance with the above-mentioned guidelines.

Article withdrawal rules: Authors have the right to withdraw their manuscripts that have not yet reached the "Decision" stage. The reason for the withdrawal must be stated. Please note that manuscripts that have been decided to be published cannot be withdrawn.
