Review Process
In the articles submitted to Pamukkale University Journal of Business Research, each author is responsible for the content of the study. The article that reaches the journal is first reviewed by the editor and the field editor, and it is checked whether the article obeys the spelling rules. Articles that do not comply with the journal's spelling rules are rejected by the editor or field editor before the refereeing process is initiated or may request some changes. Articles in accordance with the spelling rules are sent to at least two referees who are experts in their fields. Within fifteen days, referees are expected to complete their evaluations and submit their reports. Authors should not submit the same article to more than one journal.
Referees keep the evaluation process confidential and do not share it with third parties. Each work submitted to the journal is subjected to neutral evaluation by the referees. Referee reviews should be made in accordance with neutral, fair and scientific ethics. No personal criticism should be directed against the author. Referee reports should be detailed and the report should be written in a constructive, contributing and instructive manner.
Both the editor and the field editors keep the peer review process confidential. The editors take a neutral attitude to every article submitted to the journal that is deemed suitable for publication. The editor and the field editors investigate the situation in the face of a claim that the article was sent to another journal, plagiarism was found, was in the stage of about to be published elsewhere or was published. In case the allegation is confirmed, the editor has the right not to publish the article. Authors should upload their plagiarism reports to the system while submitting their articles to the journal.
The authors should upload their articles to the journal's website in word format and the article should be in accordance with the journal's spelling rules. In this context, the author should make the changes on time and meticulously requested by the referee, the editor and the chief editor. Any information, document and changes requested by the editors of the journal should be made within 15 days at the latest and sent via the system and the editor should be informed. At each stage of the process, the double-blind review system is used, in which the names of the referees and authors are kept confidential.
Referees evaluate the articles in terms of originality, contribution to the literature, methodology, etc. In order for an article to be accepted for publication, at least two referees must provide a positive opinion. If one of the referee reports is positive and the other is negative, the article is sent to a third referee. Authors should provide their personal information, institution, e-mail and ORCID information in the word file. There is no evaluation fee and submission fee for the articles sent to the journal.
