Siyer Araştırmaları Dergisi

Journal of Sīrah Studies (Siyer Araştırmaları Dergisi), Türkiye’s first academic periodical dedicated to the field of Sīrah (the Prophetic Biography of Muhammad), is a scholarly journal published twice a year, in April and October. It is free of charge, open access, and employs a double-blind peer-review system involving at least two reviewers. The identities of reviewers are kept strictly confidential and are not disclosed to the public.

Journal of Sīrah Studies, which began publication in 2017 in both print and electronic formats, has continued to be published exclusively in electronic format since 2024.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must include an English title, an abstract of 100-400 words, five keywords, and footnotes and a bibliography prepared in accordance with the İSNAD Citation Style (2nd Edition).

The scientific, ethical, and legal responsibility for published works rests with their authors. The Journal of Sīrah Studies cannot be held responsible for the opinions expressed, evaluations made, or conclusions reached in the articles.

The copyright of works published in Journal of Sīrah Studies belongs to the authors, and the works are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License.

As of 2027, Journal of Sīrah Studies will be published twice a year, in June and December. Manuscript submissions for the June issue will be accepted from January 15 to March 15, while submissions for the December issue will be accepted from July 15 to September 15. If a sufficient number of manuscripts is received, the submission system may be closed before the announced deadlines.
