In this study it is aimed to determine whether their perceptions of job insecurity have an impact on burnout levels by revealing the perceptions of tourist guides who serve customers face to face in the tourism sector regarding job insecurity and burnout relationship. A model has been proposed and tested for this goal. The data was collected by survey technique from 307 tourist guides who participated in the study and worked as registered with Nevşehirs’ Guides Professionals Organization. Statistical analysis methods such as frequency, percentage distributions, central distribution measures, correlation and regression were referred to analyze the data. In addition, as part of this research, the results of path analysis of the structural equality model established to measure the effect between variables are included. As a result of the research, it is seen that tourist guides experience job insecurity. In consequence of the research, it was found out that tourist guides’ perceptions of job insecurity affect the dimensions of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization positively, the dimension of personal accomplishment negatively and significantly.
