Artificial Intelligence Policy

Talim determines its policy regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in accordance with the Press Law, the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works, the Council of Higher Education's Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, and the internationally accepted principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authorship Status: AI tools cannot be accepted as authors because they cannot be held legally and academically responsible for published works and are not legal entities. AI tools cannot declare conflicts of interest, nor can they assume copyright or license agreements.

Authors' Responsibilities and Transparency: When AI tools are used in the preparation of the manuscript, data collection/analysis processes, or the creation of images/graphics, authors must transparently disclose this use in the "Research Methods" section and specify which AI tool was used. The submitting author(s) are responsible for the entire content of the article (including parts generated by AI) and for any potential ethical violations. Information regarding the use of AI-generated content must be provided to the editors and reviewers during the peer-review process.

Intellectual Property and Originality: In articles containing content produced using AI, authors are obliged to respect intellectual property rights and comply with copyright laws. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts demonstrate critical thinking and creativity, and are not merely a repetition of content or ideas generated solely by AI.

This policy is part of Talim's commitment to maintaining academic quality and publication integrity, and aims to ensure the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI technologies.
