Evaluation Process of Article

In our journal, it is aimed to complete the article evaluation process and the notification of "positive" or "negative" results to the authors as soon as possible. In this context; It is aimed to complete the total evaluation process of an article in a maximum of 9 weeks, with the preliminary evaluation period of 1 week, the referee evaluation period of 4 weeks, the author(s) to make the corrections requested by the referees in 3 weeks, and the final evaluation period of 1 week.
The author(s) who submit an article to the Journal of Agricultural Economics Researches are deemed to have accepted the article evaluation conditions and process.
Our journal uses a double-blind peer-review system in which the names of the referees and author(s) are kept at all stages of the article evaluation process.

Preliminary Assessment

All articles submitted to our journal are first evaluated by the editorial board. Articles that are not covered by our journal or that do not meet the required criteria in terms of content and form may be rejected without starting the refereeing process.
No article can be accepted for direct publication at this stage.

Peer Review

The articles that pass the preliminary evaluation stage are sent to two referees determined by the editor-in-chief and the editorial board. Referees are selected from the referee pool, taking into account their areas of expertise.
Referees submit the articles sent to them; they evaluate in terms of originality, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of findings and evaluation of results, and benefiting from previous studies. Reviewers may accept, reject or request corrections to form and/or substance.
In order for an article to be accepted for publication, both referees must submit a "publishable" referee report. If one of the referee's reports is "publishable" and the other is "unpublished", the article is sent to a third referee. At this stage, no article can be accepted for publication without at least two “publishable” referee reports.
In case the referee or referees request corrections, the author(s) completes the requested corrections within 3 weeks at the latest, taking into account the criticism and suggestions made by the referees and sends them back to the editorial board. Articles not submitted within the specified time will be removed from the process.
Articles that are not accepted for publication are not returned to their authors.

Final Evaluation

The final evaluation is made by the editorial board for all the articles that are in the publishing phase after being given a "publishable" report by the referees, examining whether the corrections requested by the referees, if any, and final checks of content and form are made. Articles that are decided to be "published" by the editorial board are placed in the publication order.
