I received my bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Pamukkale University in 2005 and my master's degree in 2008. In 2009, I was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at Nevşehir University, and in 2014, I earned my Ph.D. in Philosophy from Gazi University. In 2015, I was appointed as a faculty member in the Department of Systematic Philosophy and Logic within the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters, Erciyes University. I was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2018 and the title of Professor in 2025. I am currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters, Erciyes University.
Academically, I have published articles, books, and book chapters, particularly in the fields of philosophy of language, contemporary philosophy of mind, existentialism, the Gettier problem, contemporary epistemology, philosophy of consciousness, philosophy of artificial intelligence, the problem of other minds, and neurophilosophy. In addition, I have presented both full papers and abstracts at national and international conferences.
I was born in Istanbul, 1963. I grew up there and had a joyful childhood. I completed my first, secondary and vocational school in Istanbul. Then I graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Divinity in 1987. I received PhD in philosophy, at Erciyes University in 1997 with the title “The Ethics of William James” I visited Pragmatism Archive, Department of Philosophy, Oklahoma State University between 2001 August-2002 July as a visiting scholar. In 2007 summer, I attended Fulbright Programme at University of California and visited Center for Dewey Studies at Southern Illinois University. After working 17 years in Erciyes University as an academician, I attended as a professor of Philosophy at Ankara University, Faculty of Divinity. I visited McGill University 2013 for 3 months. My research area is pragmatism, ethics and Islamic thought. I have some books, translations and many articles on pragmatism and ethics.
