Author Guidelines

Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the concept, design, execution, or interpretation of the work. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors. If there are minor contributors to the work, such as language editing, these should be noted in the acknowledgments section. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final manuscript and agree to submit it for publication. Authors are expected to carefully review the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and to provide the definitive list of authors at the time of original submission. The editor will only consider adding, deleting, or rearranging authors after the article is submitted in exceptional cases. All authors must agree to any such addition, deletion or rearrangement. Authors take joint responsibility for the work.

Changes to Authorship
Adding, deleting, or rearranging the names of the authors in the list of authors can only be done before the article is accepted and only if approved by the journal Editor. If such a change is requested, the Editor requests from the responsible author (a) the reason for the change in the list of authors and (b) written confirmation (e-mail) from all authors that they agree to add it. The editor will only consider adding, deleting, or rearranging authors after the article has been accepted, in exceptional circumstances.

Writing Manuscript
Authors of original research should address the topic in an original way and an objective discussion. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality
The author must provide assurance that the article is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, in another language.

Originality of Sources
Authors should ensure that they are writing completely original paper and that if they have used the work or words of others, it is appropriately cited. Privately obtained information, such as in conversations, correspondence, or discussions with third parties, should not be used without the express and written permission of the source.

Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide the research data supporting their paper for editorial review and/or to comply with the open data requirements of the journal. Authors should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if practicable, and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable number of years after publication. The Tetkik recommends uploading research data to TUBITAK's Aperta Portal.

Multiple and Concurrent Publication
An author should not publish an article containing the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same article to more than one journal at the same time is unethical behavior. An author should not submit a previously published article for consideration in another journal, except in the form of an abstract.

Publication of research that involve human subjects (i.e., surveys and interviews)
For research conducted in all branches of science that requires ethics committee approval (ethics committee approval should be obtained, this approval should be stated and documented in the article. In research that requires ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date, and number) is in the method section, and also on one of the first/last pages of the article; In case of reports, information about signing the informed consent/consent form should be included in the article.

Competing Interests
Conflict of Interest is any financial or other interest that may conflict with one's work, significantly impair objectivity, or provide an unfair advantage to any person or organization. All authors must disclose in their writing any financial and personal relationships with individuals or organizations that may be seen to improperly influence their work. All financial support resources and the role of sponsors in the study should be explained during the conduct of the research and the preparation of the article. If there is no source of funding, this should also be stated. Examples of potential conflicts of interest that need to be disclosed include consultations, hiring, and grants. Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed at the earliest possible stage.

Notification of Errors
When an author notices a material error or inaccuracy in his published work, he should notify the journal immediately. It is also the author's obligation to cooperate in retracting or correcting the article if deemed necessary by the editor. If the editor or publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains errors, it is the author's obligation to cooperate with the editor, including notifying the editor.

The Articles that are approved for evaluation are sent to at least two reviewers. If one reviewer approves and the other one disapproves article can be sent to the third reviewer or, the editorial board can decide the final decision by examining reviewer reports. Reviewers report scientific and technical evaluations that are based on the principle of objectivity to the journal with the "Reviewer Evaluation Form". Authors should consider the editors' and reviewers' reports. The article in which its evaluation process has been completed cannot be revoked by the author.
• Whether the article can be published or not is decided with views that are suggested by reviewers "can be published", " can be published after corrections" and "cannot be published". In the situation of "Can be published after corrections" the article is sent to the author for revision. The editorial board decides to publish the revised version of the article. The article is resubmitted to the reviewers which want to see it again.
• No fees are charged from the authors, and no royalties are paid to the authors. The content of the articles is entirely the responsibility of the authors.

ETHICAL PRINCIPLES

• The ethical duties and responsibilities listed below have been prepared to take into account the guidelines and policies published as open access by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

• For the authors, It is the author's responsibility to contribute to the academic fields of the submitted article. Studies should be original and research-based. Even if plagiarism is scanned by the journal, the results of plagiarism, which is an academic shame, will belong entirely to the author. Make sure that other authors contribute to the researchers whose names will be written in the article. It is against scientific ethics to present non-contribute authors as additional authors or to rank the authors according to non-scientific criteria such as title, age, and gender, regardless of the order of contribution. It is assumed that the authors who submit articles to the journal have read and accepted the publication and writing principles of the journal, and the authors are deemed to have committed to comply with the expectations from them in these principles. Citations and bibliography should be complete. Authors have to take into account the directive on scientific research and publication ethics, which is also regulated by the Council of Higher Education.

Authors whose articles are accepted for publication are required to sign the Tevilat Journal Conflict of Interest and Ethical Declaration Form. (Form 2)

• For the reviewers; Reviewers should act with the awareness that they are the most fundamental identification of the academic quality of the article to be published in the journal and should evaluate with a responsibility to increase academic quality. Reviewers should accept to review only articles for which they have the expertise to perform an appropriate review, can respect the confidentiality of blind review, and retain details of the article in all situations. After the article review process, no information about the revised article should be shared with others. Reviewers should only evaluate the truth of the content of articles and their appropriateness with academic criteria. Whether the opinions expressed in the article are different from the opinions of the reviewer or not, there should not affect the evaluation. Reviewer’s reports must be objective and measured. Insulting, condescending and accusatory expressions should absolutely be avoided. Reviewers should avoid superficial and vague statements in their evaluation reports. In evaluations with negative results, the missing and defective points on which the result is based should be indicated in a concrete way. Reviewers should evaluate the articles within their appointed time. If they are not going to evaluate, they must notify the journal within a reasonable time.

• For the editors, Editors should accept articles that will contribute to the relevant stated areas in the journal policy to the evaluation process. Editors should not have any conflict of interest/relationship with accepted or rejected articles. Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article. It is the editors' responsibility to keep the names of reviewers and authors mutually confidential. Editors should make the necessary effort to screen for plagiarism of articles submitted for publication and in order to avoid academic dishonour.
It is the duty of the editors to complete the preliminary review, reviewing, editing and publishing processes of the articles submitted to the journal in a timely and healthy manner. Editors should prioritize academic concerns and criteria when accepting articles to the journal.

All charges of the Tevilat are covered by Selcuk University. The publication of articles and the execution of article processes in the journal are free of charge. No processing fee or submission fee is charged under any other names. As part of its publication policies, Tevilat does not accept sponsorship or advertisements.
