Abstract
Hakikat arayışında insanlığın
gördüğü en büyük krizi yaşıyoruz. İskenderiye ve Bağdat kütüphanelerinin
yakılması dahi yolumuza bu kadar büyük bir engel koyamamıştı. Hakikat, haz ile
olan mücadelesini kaybetti. İnsanların büyük çoğunluğu bilinçli veya bilinçsiz
olarak tercihini “mavi hap”tan yana kullandı. Hakikat davasında hâlâ ısrarcı
olanlar için ise rotada kalmak giderek zorlaşıyor. Şimşek ve Yalı, bu krizin
iki temel boyutunu şu sorularla ortaya koyuyorlar: “a) Gerçeği istiyor muyuz?
b) İstiyorsak bu karmaşa içinde nasıl elde ederiz?” (s.173). Kitap, post-truth
anlayışın hakikat arayışı için neden ve nasıl bir tehdit olduğunu, sosyal medya
başta olmak üzere her türlü yayının bu anlayışın yayılmasındaki etkisini ortaya
koymaktadır. Kitapta yine bu duruma bir çözüm olarak tarihçilik becerilerinden
istifade edilmesinin faydalı olabileceği tezi öne sürülmektedir.
