Basim Mahmood received his Ph.D. degree in 2015 from the College of Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology, USA. He is currently a faculty member and researcher at ICT Research Unit, University of Mosul. He is also a permanent member of BioComplex Laboratory, Exeter, UK. His current research interests include Complex Networks, Big Data Analysis and Data Mining, Forensics, Virtual Reality, and Drone Programming.
Mevlut ERSOY obtained his B.S. degree in computer engineering from Gazi University Ankara, Turkey in 2007. He completed his Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Suleyman Demirel University, Turkey in 2012. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Suleyman Demirel University Department of Computer Engineering in 2016. He works as an Associate Professor in Suleyman Demirel University Computer Engineering Department since 2024. His research interests include New Generation Wireless Technologies, Video Streaming.
Ayşin Gaye ÜSTÜN is an Asst. Prof. at Vocational School at Sinop University, Turkey. She earned her doctoral degree from the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Atatürk University, Turkey. Her academic interest areas are open and distance eucation environments, artificial intelligence, educational technologies and instructional design.
Dr. Mehmet Sevri is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Engineering at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, with over 14 years of experience. He received his Ph.D. from Gazi University, specializing in web application security using deep learning, which led to patent applications on an explainable AI-based web firewall system.
Dr. Sevri has held research positions at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and Gazi University, focusing on AI-based intrusion detection and cybersecurity. He also gained industry experience as a computer engineer at a public institution and as a transmission engineer at Turkcell, working on network infrastructure projects such as 3G backbone integration.
He has co-authored numerous articles in important and impactful journals, addressing topics in web security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for medical diagnostics. Additionally, he holds both national and international patents related to explainable AI-based web security systems.
His expertise includes deep learning, cybersecurity, web application security, and explainable AI models. Dr. Sevri is actively involved in AI and cybersecurity projects, including those funded by TÜBİTAK and other institutions, focusing on creating robust web protection systems and advancing cybersecurity education.
Dr. Ozan Filiz received his Ph.D. in Educational Sciences from Anadolu University in 2018. His doctoral research focused on the impact of flipped learning on pre-service teachers' digital competencies, innovativeness, and online engagement. He is currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences, Division of Instructional Technologies, at Sinop University, where he also holds the position of Assistant Director at the Distance Education Center. His current research interests include open and distance education, the use of generative artificial intelligence in learning, and educational Web 2.0 tools.
Gülay Ekren is an academician in Management Information Systems (MIS). She has completed her BSc in Computer and Instructional Technologies, an MSc, and a PhD in MIS. She works as an Assistant Professor at the Computer Technologies Department of Ayancık Vocational College, Sinop University, Turkey. Her research interests include Information Systems and Technologies, Data Science and Analytics, and Digital Business Management.
Refik Samet (IEEE Member) is a Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Ankara University. He completed his BS and MS education at the Department of Informatics and Computer Science and Engineering, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and his PhD at the Department of Design and Development of Fail-Tolerant Systems, Institute of Control Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences. He conducts research on reliability and fault-tolerance of real-time computer control systems, parallel systems, cyber security, forensic computing, IoT, medical image processing, video processing, computer networks, mobile operating systems, machine learning, deep learning, etc. He has served as a researcher and manager in TUBITAK, NATO, European Union and BAP supported research and development projects. He has six patents, four books and 5 book chapters. He has more than 100 sientific papers published in national and international journals and more than 60 conference proceedings. He is a scientific committee member in many national and international scientific conferences and journals.
