About

Within the scope of Yedi Journal, the main points of the amendments added to the publication process regulations to be implemented as of 2026 are summarized as follows:

  • The journal does not accept articles derived from postgraduate theses or conference papers.
  • In addition to the standard abstract, all articles submitted for publication must include an “extended abstract” of 750–1,500 words.
  • Articles must be between 6,000 and 9,000 words in length, excluding footnotes and references (the abstract, extended abstract, and references are not included in the word count).
  • Content generated autonomously by generative artificial intelligence tools (such as large language models, chatbots, and similar systems) that replace the author's core intellectual contributions, including academic writing, analysis, interpretation, or the production of conclusions, is not accepted; such works will be rejected. The use of artificial intelligence tools for translation purposes is permitted only if it is explicitly disclosed.

yedi welcomes studies in art and design disciplines, as well as research in the humanities (philosophy, history, archaeology), social sciences (sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, economics, law), applied sciences (architecture, engineering, medicine), and natural sciences (physics, biology) that focus on art and design. In addition, it includes interdisciplinary research fields, such as cultural and communication studies, structured around art and design.

yedi is published twice a year, with issues released in January and July.  Once a sufficient number of manuscripts have been received for the relevant issue, the journal is closed to further submissions.
