The Role of Psychological Capital in the Impact of Workplace Friendship on Employee Voice

Öz

Workplace friendship facilitates the development of stronger social bonds among employees, which in turn enhances their tendency to voice their opinions. Psychological capital, by strengthening psychological resources such as self-efficacy, optimism, hope, and resilience, promotes this interaction and enables employees to express their voice more effectively. The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between workplace friendship and employee voice. The research was conducted with the participation of white-collar employees, utilizing a quantitative research method. In the data collection process, a survey method was employed, and convenience sampling was used. Descriptive statistics, reliability analyses, normality tests, and relationships between variables were examined using SPSS 22.0 software. To test the construct validity of the scales and the model created in line with the research objectives, structural equation modeling (SEM) and mediation (indirect effect) analyses were conducted using AMOS 24.0 software. The results of the analysis indicated that psychological capital plays a mediating role in the relationship between workplace friendship and employee voice.

Öz

İş yeri arkadaşlığı, çalışanlar arasında daha sağlam sosyal bağların kurulmasına olanak tanımakta ve bu durum, çalışanların seslerini duyurabilme eğilimlerini güçlendirmektedir. Psikolojik sermaye ise, bireylerin öz yeterlilik, iyimserlik, umut ve dayanıklılık gibi psikolojik kaynaklarını pekiştirerek, bu etkileşimi teşvik etmekte ve çalışanların sesliliklerini daha etkin bir biçimde ifade etmelerine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iş yeri arkadaşlığının çalışan sesliliği üzerindeki etkisinde psikolojik sermayenin aracı rolünü belirlemektir. Beyaz yakalı çalışanın katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen araştırmada, nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde, verilerin toplanması için anket yöntemi kullanılmış olup, örnekleme yöntemi olarak kolayda örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. SPSS 22.0 programı kullanılarak tanımlayıcı istatistikler, güvenilirlik analizleri, normal dağılım testleri ve değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Ölçeklerin yapı geçerliliklerini ve araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda oluşturulan modelin test edilmesi için AMOS 24.0 programı kullanılarak yapısal eşitlik modeli (YEM) ve aracılık rolü (dolaylı etki) analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda, iş yeri arkadaşlığının çalışan sesliliği üzerindeki etkisinde psikolojik sermayenin aracı rol üstlendiği belirlenmiştir.
