Erkek ve Bayanlarda Kafatası Kemiğinden Geometrik Morfometri Metoduyla Cinsiyet Tayini ve Ramus Flexure

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı; erkek ve bayanlarda kafatası kemiğinden geometrik morfometri metodu
yardımıyla cinsiyetin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmaya, Kaman Lisesinde okuyan ve voleybol takımında yer alan,
yaşları 15-17 arasında değişen 12 erkek ve 13 kız öğrenci gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Bu çalışmaya katılan
öğrencilerin sol lateral craniofacial ve mandibular röntgenleri alınmıştır. Daha sonra elde edilen verilere
geometrik morfometri analizi uygulanmıştır. Röntgenler üzerinde anatomik 14 adet homolog referans noktası
tespit edilmiştir. Örneklerin Relation Warp (RW) analizinden elde edilen sonuçlar da; RW1 %30, RW2 %21
olmak üzere, her iki bileşen toplam varyansın %51’ini, geri kalan bileşenler ise farklılıkların %49’unu
açıklamıştır. RW analiz grafiğinde, genelde bayan örneklerin ana ekseninin solunda, erkeklerin ise sağında
toplandığı gözlendi. Cinsiyetler arasındaki deformasyon grid’lerin farklılıkları ve vektörel yönlenmeler
arasındaki değişiklikler açıkça gözlendi. Nitekim cinsiyet farklılığı açısından en önemli farklılığın ramus
mandibulae düzeyinde olduğu belirlendi. Erkeklerdeki bu durum ramus flexure yapısını açıkça ortaya
koymaktaydı (%85 oranında). Bayanlarda ise %15 oranında ramus flexure yapısı gözlendi. Sinus frontale bu
çalışmada makroanatomik yönden incelendiğinde, cinsiyetler ve bireyler arasında, hatta aynı bireylerde bile
farklılıkların bulunduğu tespit edildi.
