Öz

The need for the sustainable, qualified and new learning environments gains new dimensions within the development of technology. Interactive ebooks are one of these dimensions that can be evaluate in both traditional and open and distance learning. In Turkey, interactive ebook studies became more valuable because of the potential of wide audience which implemented by the Tubitak, Anadolu University Open Education Faculty and other Open Education faculties. Not only the hardware that can provide necessary technology to serve, but also content production is important that can make sense to this hardware. Simple ebook readers, and mobile hardware that can be able to use internet and complex sensors gain new capabilities to interaction terminology. Understanding, using and developing of interactive ebooks, the hardware capabilities should be mastered on interaction terminology.In this study, interaction terminology and development of ebook technology are explained. Then the definition of interactive ebooks is defined. After that, interactive ebook production solutions are examined. In the last, main examples are given from Turkey and the World.

Öz

Sürdürülebilir, nitelikli ve farklı eğitim ortamlarına duyulan ihtiyaç, bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin de gelişimi ile yeni boyutlar kazanmaya devam etmektedir. Etkileşimli ekitap, hem geleneksel öğrenme ortamları hem de Açık ve Uzaktan Öğrenme kapsamında değerlendirilebilecek bu boyutlardan birisidir. Türkiye’de Tübitak, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı, Anadolu Üniversitesi Açıköğretim Fakültesi ve diğer Açıköğretim fakültelerinin etkileşimli ekitap çalışmaları, ulaşabileceği geniş hedef kitle ile çok daha önemli bir noktaya gelmiştir. Sadece bu teknolojiyi sağlayacak donanımların değil, bu donanıma anlam kazandıracak içerik üretimi de hayati değer taşımaktadır. Yalın kitap okuma özelliğine sahip ekitap okuyucularının yanı sıra, internete bağlanabilen, çeşitli ve gelişmiş algılayıcılara sahip tablet ve akıllı telefonlar “etkileşim” kavramına yepyeni özellikler kazandırıyor. Bu ortamların anlaşılabilmesi, kullanılabilmesi ve geliştirilebilmesi için etkileşim kavramına ve etkileşime zenginlik kazandırabilecek donanım özelliklerine hakim olmak önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma kapsamında öncelikle etkileşim kavramı açıklanmış, daha sonra ekitap teknolojisindeki gelişmeler özetlenmiştir. Etkileşimli ekitap tanımının çerçevesi belirtildikten sonra bu kitapların hazırlanması için tercih edilebilecek çözümler incelenmiştir. Son olarak Türkiye’ den ve Dünya’dan örnekler sunulmuştur.
