ANALYSIS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS 'PERCEPTIONS OF UNEMPLOYMENT ANXIETY
Abstract
The unemployment problem, which is one of the economic problems of the society, is increasing among the university students today. The fact that the young population is in the majority in the rising unemployment rates raises concerns about the post-graduation period for the young people who continue their education process. Particularly, students studying in departments where the number of graduates trained in the field does not increase in line with the opportunities to find a job in the sector are faced with the problem of unemployment more.
The aim of this study is to determine the perception of unemployment anxiety of students studying in the field of health. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 335 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Muş Alparslan University by using easy sampling method. As a result of the research, it was seen that students have unemployment anxiety and there is no significant difference in terms of gender and marital status in students' perception of unemployment anxiety. In addition, a statistically significant difference was found in terms of their department and grade point average.
