Öz
Bu çalışmada sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının bilimin doğası ile ilgili olarak bilimsel bilgi ve bilim insanları hakkındaki yanlış anlamalarını ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesinin Sınıf Öğretmenliği programında okuyan toplam 120 öğretmen adayı çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak açık uçlu sorular kullanılmış ve elde edilen verilerin betimsel bir analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular öğretmen adaylarının, bilimsel bilgiye ve bilim insanlarına bakışlarında bir takım yanlış anlamalara sahip olduklarını ortaya koymuştur.

The purpose of this study was to identify pre-service primary school teachers’ misunderstandings about the scientist and scientific knowledge related by nature of science. The sample of the study was 120 third-year preservice primary school teachers in a Department of Primary Education in Mustafa Kemal University. Researcher asked from every participant to write a response to open ended questions about scientist and scientific knowledge. In analyzing the research data, the researcher used descriptive analysis techniques. The findings of the research indicated that pre-service primary school teachers have some misunderstandings about scientist and scientific knowledge
