The article publication format of the journal has been updated.
There is no formatting obligation at the initial submission stage. Authors must submit their manuscripts as Word documents, written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, and formatted as plain text.
(The reference style for initial submissions must comply with APA 7.)

Journal History

• 2021–2025: The journal was published under the title International Journal of Social Work Research (JSWR) (English) – Uluslararası Sosyal Hizmet Araştırmaları Dergisi (JSWR) (Turkish); e-ISSN: 2791-836X.
• Since 2026: The journal has continued publication under its new title, Journal of Disadvantaged Groups and Social Work; e-ISSN: 3149-9198. Beginning with this title change, the journal adopted a continuous publication model, whereby accepted articles are published online on a rolling basis.

The journal publishes in English and is made available electronically as a periodical academic publication.
