The aim of the current study is to examine the research studies related to science education conducted between the years of 2013-2017 via descriptive content analysis and to offer suggestions for future studies as well as science educators and researchers who wish to conduct studies in this field. For this purpose, 125 studies on science education between the years of 2013-2017 were analyzed based on the themes of method, variable, subject area, studied group / level, data collection tools, data analysis techniques, sampling techniques, program items, teaching-learning approach, strategy and techniques, tools / materials. As a result of the review, these themes were classified under the headings of Findings on the Research Topic and Findings on the Research Method. Results indicated that mainly academic success, interest, attitude, self-efficacy variables are studied in the field of science education. Inquiry-based learning for the theme of teaching-learning approaches, strategies and techniques, and documents for the theme of materials and materials are examined extensively. Descriptive and quantitative methods are preferred in terms of method theme; descriptive analysis and t test are generally used in the theme of data analysis techniques. It was concluded that the theme of sampling techniques was not included in the studies. Suggestions were presented to science educators and researchers in accordance with the results of the current study.
