INVESTIGATION OF AMOUNTS OF A, E, C VITAMINS WITH MALONDIALDEHYDE AND GLUTATHIONE IN PLANT GUNDELIA TOURNEFORTII

Öz

In this study, the amounts of vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin C with malondialdehyde (MDA) and reduced form glutathione (GSH), oxidized form glutathione (GSSG) in Gundelia Tournefortii sample have been determined by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography. The amount of vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin C with MDA and GSH, GSSG in Gundelia Tournefortii have been obtained to be 0,98 ± 0,22 μg/g; 0,35 ± 0,09 μg/g; 19,72 ± 2,16 μg/g ; 3,84 ± 0,56 μg/g; 262,87 ± 20,73 μg/g and 2,03 ± 0,90 μg/g respectively. From the results obtained as a result of plant Gundelia Tournefortii, vitamin C and reduced glutathione (GSH) have been seen to be rich. If MDA level is low however may indicate that the plant is not under stress. In addition, Gundelia Tournefortii plant, stress-free and watersoluble antioxidants can be said that a plant rich.

Öz

 Bu çalışmada, Kenger (Gundelia Tournefortii) bitkisindeki A vitamini, E vitamini, C vitamini ile Malondialdehit (MDA) ve İndirgenmiş glutatyon (GSH), Yükseltgenmiş glutatyon (GSSG) miktarları Yüksek Performanslı Sıvı Kromatografisi (HPLC)  ile belirlendi. Kenger bitkisindeki A, E,  C vitaminleri ile MDA ve GSH, GSSG miktarları sırası ile 0,98 ± 0,22 μg/g; 0,35 ± 0,09 μg/g; 19,72 ± 2,16 μg/g; 3,84 ± 0,56 μg/g; 262,87 ± 20,73 μg/g ve 2,03 ± 0,90 μg/g olduğu gözlendi. Sonuç olarak elde edilen bulgulardan Gundelia Tournefortii bitkisinin, C vitamini ve redükte glutatyon (GSH) açısından zengin olduğu görülmektedir. MDA miktarının düşük olması ise, bitkinin stres altında olmadığının göstergesi olabilir. Ayrıca Gundelia Tournefortii bitkisinin stressiz ve suda çözünen antioksidanlar açısından zengin bir bitki olduğu söylenebilir.
