Technology that eases the life is gaining more and more place in our lives with each day. For example; many activities can be performed easily with smartphones. However, smartphones may have negative effects as well as positive sides. With the widespread use of the Internet, there has been a concern that mobile phone misuse can lead to addiction. This situation is related to behavioral addiction. While there is a clear moment in substance addiction that changes in daily life can be observed, it is difficult to determine whether the problems in behavioral addiction are caused by problematic behaviors, personality traits, or other psychiatric disorders. The issue is not mobile phone or the Internet; it is the subject of recent research that their misuse may lead to withdrawal syndrome, depression, environmental incompatibility, and mood disorders. As a result of the widespread use of social media, concepts such as nomophobia, fomo and netlessphobia have emerged. Suggestions are presented for classifying these concepts as behavioral disorders according to DSM-5 criteria. New researches are needed to better understand the effects of such problems, especially in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, mental health care for children. In our study,
technology related behavioral dependencies have been studied and behavioral disorders that occur in recent years was reviewed.
