Mesleki uzmanlaşma Mimarlıkta mesleki pratiği Mimarlık eğitimi
Architectural professional practice has a heterogeneous, multilayered and continuously transforming character in the 21st century. This heterogeneous character makes the specialization more important than ever. This research, in which students' knowledge and skills levels related to the fields of architecture are determined, was carried out within the scope of 69 senior undergraduate students in the Department of Architecture of Gazi University. Survey technique and semi-structured interview method were used to collect data. In the analysis of collected survey data, frequencies and percentages were used; information obtained in accordance with the interviews was evaluated by descriptive analysis method. In the study, data for sub-headings that are thought to have an effect on the selection of the field were designed and the effect of current architectural education on the selected field was investigated. As a result of the study, it was seen that the students' level of knowledge about the field preference and their knowledge about these fields were consistent in their preferences of office and public fields, but the relationship between level of knowledge and field preference was not established in their preferences of construction site and academic field.
