Sürdürülebilir Liderliğin Yeşil İş Etiği–Firma Performansı İlişkisindeki Rolü: Çalışan Perspektifi

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı yeşil iş etiği, firma performansı ve sürdürülebilir liderlik davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyerek, sürdürülebilir liderlik davranışlarının bu ilişkideki rolünü anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, sürdürülebilir liderlik davranışlarının hem etik değerlere uyumu hem de firma performansındaki etkisi üzerine odaklanılacaktır. Araştırmada veri toplama ve analiz yöntemi olarak nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılarak kesitsel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla, ISO 14001 Çevre Yönetim Sistemi Standardına sahip firmalarda çalışan 289 personelden anketler aracılığıyla toplanan veriler, istatistiksel analizlerle değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, yeşil iş etiği ve firma performansı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca sürdürülebilir liderlik davranışlarının bu ilişkide kısmi aracılık rolüne sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma, yeşil iş etiği, firma performansı ve sürdürülebilir liderlik davranışları arasındaki dinamik ilişkiyi anlamada önemli bir katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu anlayış, liderlik stratejileri ve yeşil örgüt kültürü geliştirme pratiği konularında yöneticilere ve araştırmacılara rehberlik etmek için kullanılabilir. Daha önce yapılan çalışmalarda, araştırma modelindeki ilişkiyi ele alan bir araştırmaya rastlanmamış olması, çalışmayı nadir ve önemli kılmakta ve bu yönüyle çalışmanın alan yazına katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.

THE ROLE OF SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP IN THE GREEN BUSINESS ETHICS–FIRM PERFORMANCE RELATIONSHIP: AN EMPLOYEE PERSPECTIVE

Öz

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among green business ethics, firm performance, and sustainable leadership behaviors, and to understand the role of sustainable leadership behaviors within this relationship. In this context, the study focuses on the alignment of sustainable leadership behaviors with ethical values and their impact on firm performance. A quantitative research design was employed, and data were collected using a cross-sectional survey method. For this purpose, data obtained through questionnaires administered to 289 employees working in firms holding the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard were analyzed using statistical techniques. The findings indicate a significant relationship between green business ethics and firm performance. Moreover, sustainable leadership behaviors were found to have a partial mediating role in this relationship. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the dynamic interplay among green business ethics, firm performance, and sustainable leadership behaviors. This understanding can be used to guide managers and researchers in developing leadership strategies and green organizational culture practices. The absence of prior studies addressing the relationships specified in the research model renders this study both rare and significant, and it is therefore believed to contribute meaningfully to the existing literature.
