The
aim of this study is to analyze the effects of work ethics values on job
performance in terms of employees with different beliefs. The sample of the
research consisted of a project group personnel who are working for a common
purpose and gathered for a temporary period as a result of university-industry
cooperation of a multinational company whose headquarter is located in Europe
(N=312). Data of this study which have been obtained from the said sample in
order to reveal the effects of work ethics of different religions on the work
performance were analyzed by means of Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Explanatory
Factor Analysis, Linear Regression, and Multiple Regression Analysis. According
to the findings of the study, four dimensions of Islamic work ethics were
determined primarily with the help of explanatory factor analysis. It has been
presented that all of these dimensions have a positive and significant effect
on the work performance. Besides this, Islamic work ethics affects the work
performance positively. Nevertheless, the research findings show that of the
dimensions of Protestant work ethics, only the necessity of working, success
brought by the hard-working and use of money and time affect the work
performance positively. Also, findings have generally showed that protestant
work ethics affects the work performance positively.
