The aim of this study is to examine the teacher candidates' attitudes towards the teaching profession according to different variables. Longitudinal survey model used in the study. Working group of the study is constitutes of 92 teacher candidates who were educated in the elementary teaching undergraduate program between September 2011 and May 2015 Gazi University Faculty of Education. Attitude scale towards teaching profession developed by Üstüner (2006) is used as a data collection tool. Data were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 statistical software package. In data analysis single factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Bonferroni test was applied for multiple comparisons. Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated for relational analysis. As a result, it was determined that a significant differences according to gender, preferred priority and grade level variables of elementary teacher candidates attitudes towards teaching profession. However, it was seen that a high level positive and significant relationship between the academic achievements and attitudes towards teaching profession at first, third and fourth graders. In the second class it was found to have an intermediate level positive and significant relationship between the attitudes towards teaching profession and academic achievements.
