Sigara İçen ve İçmeyen Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Anksiyete, Depresyon, Algılanan Yorgunluk, Dikkat Eksikliği ve Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu Düzeylerinin Karşılaştırılması

Öz

Çalışmamızın amacı sigara içen ve sigara içmeyen üniversite öğrencilerinde anksiyete, depresyon, algılanan yorgunluk, dikkat eksikliği ve hiperaktivite bozukluğu (DEHB) düzeylerini karşılaştırmaktı. Çalışmaya 302 gönüllü üniversite öğrencisi dahil edildi. Katılımcılarda anksiyete, depresyon, yorgunluk ve DEHB durumu değerlendirildi. Sigara içen ve içmeyenlerin anksiyete, depresyon, algılanan yorgunluk düzeyi, DEHB düzeyleri arasında fark görülmedi. Sigara içen grupta; DSM-IV ile ASRS, DSM-IV ile anksiyete skorları arasında yüksek korelasyon; DSM-IV ile depresyon, anksiyete ile depresyon, ASRS ile depresyon, ASRS ile anksiyete skorları arasında orta düzeyde korelasyon; YŞÖ ile depresyon, YŞÖ ile ASRS, YŞÖ ile anksiyete, YŞÖ ile DSM-IV skorları arasında zayıf düzeyde korelasyon bulundu. Sigara içmeyen grupta; depresyon ile anksiyete, depresyon ile DSM-IV, ASRS ile DSM-IV, anksiyete ile DSM-IV skorları arasında orta düzeyde korelasyon; depresyon ile ASRS, anksiyete ile ASRS, depresyon ile YŞÖ, ASRS ile yorgunluk şiddet ölçeği, anksiyete ile YŞÖ, DSM-IV ile YŞÖ skorlarında zayıf düzeyde korelasyon bulundu. Çalışmamızın sonuçları sigara içen ve içmeyen üniversite öğrencilerinde hem anksiyete, depresyon, algılanan yorgunluk düzeyleri, DEHB düzeylerinin hem de aralarındaki ilişkinin her iki grupta benzer olduğunu göstermiştir.

Comparison of Anxiety, Depression, Perceived Fatigue, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Levels in Smoking and Non-Smoker University Students

Öz

The aim of our study was to compare the levels of anxiety, depression, perceived fatigue, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in university students who smoke and non-smokers. 302 volunteer university students were included in the study. Anxiety, depression, fatigue and ADHD status were evaluated in the participants. Anxiety, depression, perceived fatigue and ADHD levels were not different between smokers and non-smokers. In the smoker group; high correlation between DSM-IV with ASRS, DSM-IV with anxiety scores; moderate correlation between DSM-IV with Depression, anxiety with depression, ASRS with depression, ASRS with anxiety scores; weak correlation between FSS with Depression, FSS with ASRS, FSS with Anxiety, FSS with DSM-IV was found. In the non-smoking group; moderate correlation between depression with anxiety, depression with DSM-IV, ASRS and DSM-IV, anxiety and DSM-IV scores; weak correlation between depression and ASRS, anxiety and ASRS, depression and FSS, ASRS with FSS, anxiety and FSS, DSM-IV and FSS was found. The study results showed that both anxiety and depression, perceived fatigue levels, ADHD levels and the relationship between the two groups were similar in both groups.
