Hazırlık Sınıfı Öğrencilerinin Kişisel Özelliklerinin Öğrenme Stillerine Etkisi Ve Öğretim Sürecine Yansıması

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Hacettepe Üniversitesi, İngilizce hazırlık sınıfı öğrencilerinin yaş, cinsiyet, mezunoldukları lise türü ve üniversitede kayıtlı oldukları bölüm gibi kişisel özelliklerinin öğrenme stillerine etkisini belirlemektir.Araştırmaya başlangıç, orta ve orta üstü dil düzeyinde İngilizce hazırlık eğitimi alan 777 öğrenci katılmıştır. Öğrencilerinöğrenme stillerini belirlemek amacıyla Kolb tarafından 1981 yılında geliştirilen, 1985 yılında yeniden düzenlenen ve 1993yılında Aşkar ve Akkoyunlu tarafından Türkçe’ye çevrilen Öğrenme Stili Envanteri (LSI) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi ikigrup karşılaştırma yöntemi (t-testi), Kruskal-Wallis testi, tek yönlü varyans çözümlemesi ve çoklu karşılaştırmayöntemlerinden en küçük önemli fark yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Bulgulara göre, öğrencilerin genel olarak Özümseyenve Ayrıştıran öğrenme stillerini tercih ettikleri ve öğrencilerin cinsiyetlerine, yaş gruplarına ve üniversiteye giriş puan türünegöre öğrenme stilleri arasında fark olmadığı, ancak Fen Liselerinden mezun olan öğrencilerin Ayrıştıran, diğer lisegruplarından mezun olan öğrencilerin ise Özümseyen öğrenme stilini benimsedikleri bulunmuştur
