Öznur Yemez, PhD, is a literary scholar whose research integrates psychoanalytic criticism, feminist theory, and interdisciplinary humanities to interrogate how literature and film articulate experiences of melancholy, loss, and psychological trauma. Her work is distinguished by its ability to bring neglected texts and marginalised intellectual figures into critical focus, notably reclaiming the contributions of pioneering women such as Sabina Spielrein and Karen Horney. Through rigorous close reading and theoretically informed analysis, Yemez examines the intersections of textual aesthetics, cultural memory, and human interiority, offering fresh insights into both canonical and understudied works. Her publications, appearing in peer-reviewed national and international journals, reflect a commitment to scholarly originality, cross-disciplinary engagement, and intellectual advocacy. Positioned at the nexus of literary studies, psychoanalysis, and gendered historiography, Yemez’s research contributes to a global discourse on how art and narrative shape — and are shaped by — the deepest dimensions of human experience.
