The Example of Spa Tourism in the Scope of Rural Tourism Potential of Bingol Province and Hungary Comparison

Öz

Rural tourism, which is one of the most important factors in the growth of countries, has started to be among the issues that need to be developed in Turkey in recent years. In many countries, tourism areas are not formed as individual destinations, but as routes, taking into account the potential of each region. Thus, more tourists are ensured to come to countries to different tastes and preferences. Today, tourism revenues are used as a serious source to close the current account deficit in many countries. In this study, first of all, the local people's perspective on tourism, and then the thermal tourism from the eyes of the local people, the tourism policies implemented in Hungary are compared. In the surveys conducted with the face-to-face interviews applied to the local people, the participants were asked to prioritize the issues for the development of tourism, generally using the Likert scale. Approximately 60% of those who participated in the survey said that spa and health tourism should be given importance for the development of the region. In our study, both the Hajdúszoboszló spa area, which is considered the third largest spa in Europe in the Debrecen region of Hungary and a good example in this regard, has been compared in the context of Bingol province. Considering the improvements made in the spa, which we took as an example, and the development process in only ten years, suggestions were made to the policy makers in the results section.

BİNGÖL İLİNİN KIRSAL TURİZM POTANSİYELİ KAPSAMINDA KAPLICA TURİZMİ ÖRNEĞİ VE MACARİSTAN KARŞILAŞTIRMASI

Öz

Ülkelerin büyümede en önemli lokomotiflerinden biri olan turizm, son yıllarda Türkiye içinde geliştirilmesi gereken konular arasında yer almaya başlamıştır. Birçok ülkede turizm alanları tek tek destinasyonlar şeklinde değil her bölgenin kendi potansiyeli dikkate alınarak rotalar şeklinde oluşturulmaktadır. Böylece daha fazla turist, farklı zevk ve tercihler ile ülkelere gelmesi sağlanmaktadır. Günümüzde birçok ülkede turizm gelirleri cari açık kapatılması için ciddi bir kaynak olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle yöre halkının turizme bakış açısı sonrasında ise yöre halkının gözünden termal turizm bağlamında Macaristan’daki uygulanan turizm politikaları karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Yöre halkına uygulanan yüz yüze mülakatla gerçekleştirilen anketlerde, genel olarak likert ölçeği kullanılarak, katılımcılardan turizmin gelişmesi için konuları önceliklendirmesi istenmiştir. Ankete katılım sağlayanların yaklaşık %60’ı yörenin gelişmesi için kaplıca ve sağlık turizmine önem verilmesi gerektiğini söylemiştir. Bizde çalışmamızda hem bu konuda iyi bir örnek olan Macaristan Debrecen bölgesindeki Avrupa’nın üçüncü büyük kaplıcası kabul edilen Hajdúszoboszló spa alanını konu alarak Bingöl ili bağlamında hem karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Örnek aldığımız kaplıca yaptığı iyileştirmeler ile sadece on yılda gelişim süreci de dikkate alınarak, sonuçlar kısmında politika yapıcılara konuyla ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
