This study aims to examine the mediating role of artificial intelligence anxiety in the relationship between employees’ perceptions of job security and their turnover intentions. The population of the research consists of 195,695 members of a trade union located in Turkey. The sample of the study comprises 541 members drawn from this union. Data for the study were collected through an online questionnaire. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, normality testing, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted on the obtained data. According to the results of the correlation analysis, a significant negative relationship was found between job security perception and turnover intention, a significant negative relationship between job security perception and artificial intelligence anxiety, and a significant positive relationship between artificial intelligence anxiety and turnover intention. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that artificial intelligence anxiety plays a partial mediating role in the effect of job security perception on turnover intention. This research is expected to contribute to the literature by examining the relationship between job security perception and turnover intention within the context of artificial intelligence anxiety, particularly by addressing employees’ concerns regarding artificial intelligence technologies.
