The study examines the intercultural sensitivity and ethnocentrism levels of health program students. The universe of the research, which is planned as an identifier, has created second-year students in the department of health (anesthesia, dialysis, first and emergency assistance) studying at a foundation university vocational school and 180 students who have agreed to participate in the study sample. Statistical analysis of data; T test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis in the number, percentage, average, independent groups were performed in the SPSS 21 package program. The average age of the students participating in the study is 20.92±2.3, 36.7% is first and emergency assistance, 33.3% is dialysis and 30% are anesthesia students. 71.1% of students are female, 41.7% have graduated from the health vocational high school, and 82.9% live in the East/Southeast Anatolia region. 37.2% of students said they were bad, 57.8% ıntermediate English, 58.9% said they were friends from different countries and 96.1% said they wanted to care for patients from different cultures. Participants stated the problems they might encounter as communication (53.9%), language (56.1%), cultural difference (7.2%), trust (10%), and prejudice (10%) problems. The total score of the scale reveals that ethnocentrism is 53.5 ± 5.9 and intercultural sensitivity is 94.6 ± 8.7. The correlation between the intercultural sensitivity scale and the ethnocentrism scale was negative (r: -0.369 ** p: 0.000). The mean score of males (55.7 ± 5.9) was higher than the mean score of females (52.6 ± 5.7) in ethnic centrism scale and the difference was significant (p: 0.002). It was determined that as the knowledge of foreign languages increased, the score of intercultural sensitivity scale increased, and the difference between those who knew foreign languages and those who did not know was significant (p <0.05). Since various factors affect intercultural sensitivity and ethnic centrism, it is necessary to raise awareness among students through intercultural sensitivity programs.
