Denizli İli Atletizm Hakemlerinin Hakemlikte Kalma ve Bırakma Davranışlarının İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı Denizli ili
atletizm hakemlerinin hakemlikte kalma ve bırakma davranışlarını incelemektir.
Araştırmaya, toplam 98 (65 erkek, Xyaş = 36.78± 13.79 ve 33 kadın; Xyaş = 31.34±
12.45) Denizli ili atletizm hakemi gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Çalışmada
sporcular için Scanlan ve ark. (1993) tarafından geliştirilen ve VanYperen’in
hakemler için yeniden düzenlediği “Sporda Adanmışlık Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır.
Ölçek 20 maddelik 5’li Likert tipli bir ölçek olup 6 alt boyuttan (hoşlanma,
katılım alternatifleri, kişisel yatırım, sosyal engellemeler, katılım
fırsatları ve hakemliği bırakmama niyeti) oluşmaktadır. Açımlayıcı istatistik
analizi sonuçlarına göre; (1) atletizm hakemleri hakemlikten hoşlandıkları (X̅ = 4.72, Ss =.48),
sosyal çevrelerini hakemliğe devam edip etmeme yönünde etki altında
bıraktıkları (X̅
= 4.26, Ss =.88) ve hakemliği bırakma niyetlerinin olmadıkları (X̅ = 4.64, Ss =.56) beyanında
bulunmuşlardır. Bununla birlikte katılım alternatifleri (X̅ = 2.91, Ss =.79) ve
katılım fırsatları (X̅
= 2.69, Ss = 1.21) alt boyutlarında ölçeğin ortalaması çevresinde, 3’ün biraz
altında olmuştur. Pearson Korelasyon analizi sonuçları da Hoşlanma ve Kişisel
Yatırım (r=.319; p<.001); Hoşlanma ve Katılım Fırsatları (r=.404; p<.001);
Kişisel Yatırım ile Katılım Fırsatları (r=.321; p<.001); Katılım Fırsatları
ile Hakemliği Bırakma Niyeti (r=.368; p<.001); Hakemliği Bırakma Niyeti ile
Kişisel Yatırım (r=.229; p<.05) 
arasında pozitif ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu
göstermiştir). Bu araştırmanın sonucunda, hakemliğe devam edilmesinde özellikle
harcanan zaman, çaba, para, kişisel yatırım ve hakemlikte geçirilen iyi
zamanlardan oluşan katılım fırsatlarının çok önemli olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Bununla birlikte hakemlikten hoşlanılmasıyla birlikte kişisel yatırımın ve
katılım fırsatlarının da arttığı tespit edilmiştir.

Examination of Stay/Leave Behavior of Track and Field Referees in Denizli

Öz

The purpose of this study was to
examine stay/leave behavior of track and field referees in Denizli
Municipality. Ninety eight Denizli track and field referees (65 men, Xage =
36.78± 13.79 and 33 women; Xage = 31.34± 12.45) 
voluntarily participated in this study. In this study, “The Sport Commitment
Model” was used in this study. This model was developed by Scanlan et al.
(1999) for athletes and adapted to referees by VanYperen. The questionnaire
model is a 20-item 5-Likert type and consists of 6 subscales (enjoyment,
involvement alternatives, personal investments, social constraints, involvement
opportunities, and intent to quit). According to descriptive analysis, the data
showed high enjoyment (X̅
= 4.72, Ss =.48), social constraints (X̅ = 4.26, Ss =.88) scores and referees do
not intend to quit (X̅
= 4.64, Ss =.56). Additionally, the mean scores of involvement alternatives (X̅ = 2.91, Ss =.79)
and involvement opportunities (X̅ = 2.69, Ss = 1.21) were a little less
than the midpoint of the scale (i.e., 3). The results of Pearson product–moment
correlations identified significant positive relationships among enjoyment and
personal investment (r=.319; p<.001); enjoyment and involvement
opportunities (r=.404; p<.001); personal investment and involvement
opportunities (r=.321; p<.001); involvement opportunities and intent to quit
(r=.368; p<.001) and lastly personal investment and intent to quit (r=.229;
p<.05). Specifically, the results of this study found that enjoyment,
spending time, money, effort, personal investment and involvement opportunities
are very important for continuing officiating. 
In addition to this, this study showed that enjoyment increases personal
investment and involvement opportunities.
