The Summary of a Research on Hursid Devran’s Story Named “Asumanda Gunes Yok Idi”
Abstract
Changes that may occur in either political or social aspects of any
nation surely gets reflected in their literature. In Uzbek literature, we see
those changes at a point in time in which we have changed the way we look at
history. The craftsmen of Uzbek literature have focused on using national
resources and the names that shape their country’s history after Uzbekistan has
become independent from the Soviet Union. Perhaps the most important name in
this era is an Uzbek poet, writer, reporter and scriptwriter Hursid Devran. Hursid
Devran, after the independence from the Soviet Union, has focused his writings
on historical figures. He has focused his art primarily on “Emir Timur” and
also included names such as “Uluğ Bey”, “Ali Şir Nevai”, “Bibihanım”, “Şeyh
Kübra” whom have played an important role in the history. In this paper, we
will examine his history titled “Asumanda Güneş Yok idi” in terms of its’s
topic, style and grammar.
