darulfunun ilahiyat

darulfunun ilahiyat is the academic publication of Istanbul University, Faculty of Theology and is an open access, peer-reviewed, scholarly journal published biannually in June and December. It was founded in 1925.
 

darulfunun ilahiyat publishes disciplinary and interdisciplinary theoretical and applied studies that address different dimensions of religion. Within this framework, the journal welcomes manuscripts with a strong theoretical orientation and rigorous analytical depth that examine religion as a system of belief and society, as well as the beliefs and practices of religious adherents by (i) situating them within the context of the humanities and social sciences; (ii) advancing original theoretical and conceptual perspectives; (iii) employing innovative or diverse research methodologies; and (iv) presenting them comparatively through different case studies.

(I)         Address human and social sciences;
(II)         Develop original theoretical and conceptual advances;
(III)        Examine different and new research methods;
(IV)        Present comparative studies using different example cases.
