PUBLICATION ETHICS
The Journal of Agriculture is organized in accordance with the guidelines and policies published in open access as specified by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) published on our Dergipark page. It is aimed that users who put forward a scientific study contribute to the progress of science by following a correct process. Within the scope of this goal, it is very important that the studies comply with scientific ethical principles.
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORS
Authors must ensure the accuracy of the data pertaining to their original work and be able to make their records of the work available upon request.
Ensure that the submitted manuscript has not been published or accepted elsewhere.
Identify any potential conflicts of interest in the manuscript.
Authors should inform the journal management of any inaccuracies in the manuscript at any stage of the publication process for editing or retraction.
Ensuring that the references and citations made in the article are correct and complete.
To review the “Ethics Committee Approval” page for information about the ethics committee and to ensure that all studies involving human or animal subjects comply with national and international laws and guidelines, to confirm that the necessary approvals have been obtained and to respect the privacy of the subject. To indicate ethics committee approvals and research details in the “Material and Methods” section of the study.
To make sure that the names of the authors in the article are not people who do not contribute to the article, and it should not be recommended to change the order of authors, remove authors, or add authors to an article whose evaluation process has started.
The article in the evaluation process cannot be submitted to a different journal at the same time. When the process is completed in the journal and the article is rejected, it can be sent to different journals.
ETHICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDITORS
Journal of Agriculture editors should have the ethical duties and responsibilities specified in the “Code Of Conduct And Best Practice Guidelines For Journal Editors” and “Cope Best Practice Guidelines For Journal Editors” published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
To fulfill their duties objectively and fairly without being influenced by any religion, gender or political ideas. To take into account the advice and notifications received from the users of the journal about the published articles.
To evaluate the articles uploaded to the journal according to their scientific contribution and not to grant privileges to any author.
To implement the necessary procedures for complaints of ethical violations by adhering to the ethical principles and publication policies of the journal.
To take positive referee evaluations into account during the evaluation process and to respond to notifications from authors.
Editors should take into account whether there is a conflict of interest between the editor, referee and authors for the impartial evaluation of the article.
To select the referees to be appointed in accordance with the content of the article and to expand the referee pool.
To take the necessary measures to evaluate the article process impartially and scientifically.
To take into account the opinions and suggestions of the advisory board during the publication process of the journal and to act independently of the journal owner and publishing organization in the decisions to be taken about the article.
To request the approval of the ethics committee in studies that require an ethics committee report and to reject the article if it is not sent.
Providing clear and enlightening responses to notifications from all journal users (reviewers, authors and readers).
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF REFEREES
Refuse to review the manuscript if there is a conflict of interest related to the manuscript.
To review the article objectively and fairly in a timely manner and refuse to evaluate studies outside the field of expertise.
To make objective reviews and make necessary recommendations to improve the scientific quality of the article.
Not allowing religion, gender and political opinions to have a negative or positive effect on the evaluation of the article.
To act in accordance with the principles of confidentiality of information about the article and authors.
To evaluate the accepted article in a timely manner and in accordance with ethical rules.
PLAGIARISM POLICY
Plagiarism is considered an ethical violation regardless of whether it is intentional or not. It is not only unethical but also criminal and unacceptable if the studies are similar to different sources and the similarity is ignored. The Journal Management can act according to COPE rules in case of plagiarism suspicions regarding the studies uploaded to the journal.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Our journal aims to publish research and review studies in the fields of horticulture, plant protection, plant and animal production, biosystems engineering, food engineering, molecular biology and genetics, landscape architecture, aquaculture, agricultural economics, agricultural mechanization, agricultural structures and irrigation, field crops, soil science and plant nutrition and zootechnics in Turkish and English.
Journal of Agriculture is a peer-reviewed, academic, scientific, international journal published twice a year in June and December. Turkish and English articles are accepted and published online.
CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT
The information of the articles uploaded and published in the Journal of Agriculture is used according to the journal's publication ethics policies. It cannot be used for different purposes and persons.
ARCHIVING
Articles published in the Journal of Agriculture are archived as full text and issue full file on the DERGİPARK system and made available to all journal users.
