Fen Öğretmenlerinin ve Okul Müdürlerinin Okullarındaki Öğretmenlerin Eğitim Programlarını Uygulamalarına Yönelik Görüşleri Arasındaki İlişki

Abstract

The aim of this study is to set forth the relationship of the sciences teachers' and school principals' opinions on other teachers' understanding of the school curricular goals and teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum. The research study is in a survey model. Subjects of the research study are the sciences teachers that teach 8th grade students and the school principals participating in TIMSS 2015 study from 37 countries. The research was conducted with the data obtained from 12947 sciences teachers and their school principals. The research data were derived from the responses to the teachers' understanding of the school's curricular goals and the teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum. Goodman-Kruskal Gamma test was used for analysing the data. Approximately 21% of the countries that participated in the research study amongst the sciences teachers and school principals. For "teachers' understanding of the school's curricular goals", it was determined that the relationship of the sciences teachers and school principals in the countries that participated in the research study was strong for 21% and moderately positive for 19%. For "teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum", it was determined that the relationship of the sciences teachers and school principals in the countries that participated in the research study was strong for 19% and moderately positive nearly for 43%.
