FEN ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN VE OKUL MÜDÜRLERİNİN OKULLARINDAKİ ÖĞRETMENLERİN EĞİTİM PROGRAMLARINI UYGULAMALARINA YÖNELİK GÖRÜŞLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı fen öğretmenleri ve okul müdürlerinin okullarındaki diğer öğretmenlerin okulun eğitim programının amaçlarını anlamalarına ve uygulanmasındaki başarı derecelerine yönelik görüşleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın katılımcıları 37 ülkeden TIMSS 2015 çalışmasına katılan 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin fen öğretmenleri ve onların okul müdürleridir. Araştırma 12947 fen öğretmeni ve onların okul müdürlerinin verileri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verilerini, fen öğretmenlerine ve okul müdürlerine yöneltilen “öğretmenlerin okulun eğitim programının amaçlarını anlaması” ve “okulun eğitim programının uygulanmasında öğretmenlerin başarı derecesi” sorularına verilen cevaplar oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde Goodman-Kruskal Gamma testi kullanılmıştır. “Öğretmenlerin okulun eğitim programının amaçlarını anlaması” sorusunda fen öğretmenleri ve okul müdürleri arasında araştırmada yer alan ülkelerin yaklaşık %21’inde güçlü, %19’unda orta düzeyde pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. “Okulun eğitim programının uygulanmasında öğretmenlerin başarı derecesi” sorusunda fen öğretmenleri ve okul müdürleri arasında araştırmada yer alan ülkelerin yaklaşık %19’unda güçlü; yaklaşık % 43’ünde orta düzeyde pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to set forth the relationship of the sciences teachers' and school principals' opinions on other teachers' understanding of the school curricular goals and teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum. The research study is in a survey model. Subjects of the research study are the sciences teachers that teach 8th grade students and the school principals participating in TIMSS 2015 study from 37 countries. The research was conducted with the data obtained from 12947 sciences teachers and their school principals. The research data were derived from the responses to the teachers' understanding of the school's curricular goals and the teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum. Goodman-Kruskal Gamma test was used for analysing the data. Approximately 21% of the countries that participated in the research study amongst the sciences teachers and school principals. For "teachers' understanding of the school's curricular goals", it was determined that the relationship of the sciences teachers and school principals in the countries that participated in the research study was strong for 21% and moderately positive for 19%. For "teachers' degree of success in implementing the school's curriculum", it was determined that the relationship of the sciences teachers and school principals in the countries that participated in the research study was strong for 19% and moderately positive nearly for 43%.
