Education of Highly Gifted and Gifted Children at Preschool Period in Turkey

Öz

Higher-level cognitive abilities and intense feelings of merging described asynchronous
development experience to create ‘giftedness’ is one of the most precious treasure of the
community (Columbus Group, 1991). Congenital from the gifted and talented education of
the children born to diagnose rapidly in preschool and the first step is to meet the educational
requirements needed requirements. When science and art center examined directive (MEB,
2016); ‘Central preschool education in preschool units that contribute to physical and
psychological development of gifted students in the school age child is approaching the unit
with scientific activity.’ ‘ Despite the inclusion of the term pre-school education units in science
and art centers actively training services not provided. The study is meant to draw attention to
the educational needs of gifted and talented children of pre school .

Türkiyede Okul Öncesi Dönemdeki Üstün Potansiyalli ve Üstün Zekâlı Olan Çocukların Eğitimleri

Öz

Üst düzey bilişsel yeteneklerin ve yoğun duyguların birleşerek alışılmışın dışında
deneyimler yarattığı eş zamanlı olmayan gelişim olarak tanımlanan ‘’üstün yeteneklilik’’
toplumların en değerli hazinelerinden biridir (Columbus Group, 1991). Doğuştan itibaren
üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli olarak dünyaya gelen bu çocukların eğitimlerinin ilk kademesi olan
okul öncesi dönemde hızlıca tanılanması ve ihtiyaç duyduğu eğitim gereksinimleri karşılanması
bir gerekliliktir. Bilim ve sanat merkezi yönergesi incelendiğinde (MEB, 2016); ‘’Merkezlerde
okul öncesi eğitim birimi okul öncesi eğitim çağındaki özel yetenekli öğrencilerin fiziksel ve
psikolojik açıdan gelişmesine katkı sağlayan, bilimsel etkinliklerle çocuğa yaklaşan birimdir.’’
İfadesinin yer almasına rağmen bilim ve sanat merkezlerinde okul öncesi eğitim birimi aktif
olarak eğitim hizmeti verilmemektedir. Bu çalışma okul öncesi dönemdeki üstün zekalı ve
yetenekli çocukların eğitim ihtiyaçlarına dikkat çekmek amacıyla yazılmıştır.
