A Research on The Intermediation Role of Organizational Culture in The Effect of The Leadership Style of The Managers on Workplace Incivility

Öz

The leadership styles adopted by the people in the management levels of the organizations and how their subordinates see them have a determining effect on the behavior of their subordinates towards their managers and organizational culture. For this reason, it is extremely important for successful management to know how managers' leadership styles are perceived by their subordinates. In this context, the aim of this research is to investigate whether organizational culture plays a mediating role in the effect of leadership styles on workplace incivility of employees. According to the data obtained from 162 white-collar employees working in a domestic company in the automotive private sector in Samsun, it has been determined that organizational culture has a significant mediating effect in the relationship between leadership styles and workplace incivility

Yöneticilerin Liderlik Tarzının İşyeri Nezaketsizliğine Etkisinde Örgüt Kültürünün Aracılık Rolü Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Öz

Örgütlerin yönetim kademelerinde yer alan insanların benimsedikleri liderlik tarzları ve astlarının onları nasıl gördükleri, astlarının yöneticilerine ve örgüt kültürüne dair sergiledikleri davranışları ile ilgili belirleyici bir etki yaratmaktadır. Bu sebeple yöneticilerin liderlik tarzlarının astları tarafından nasıl algılandığını bilmek başarılı bir yönetim için son derece önemlidir. Bu bağlamda liderlik tarzlarının çalışanların işyeri nezaketsizliği üzerindeki etksinde örgüt kültürünün aracı bir rol üstlenip üstlenmediğini araştırmak bu araştırmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Samsun ilinde yer alan otomotiv özel sektöründeki yerli bir firmada görev yapan 162 beyaz yakalı çalışandan elde edilen verilere göre örgüt kültürünün liderlik tarzları ve işyeri nezaketsizliği arasındaki ilişkide anlamlı ölçüde bir aracılık etkisine sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.
