Uskudar has an important place in 16th century’s Istanbul which was a bright period for Ottoman Empire in terms of economy. The prestige of the city gained in 16th century happened with the Islamic-Ottoman social complexes built by the people of the palace and its inner circle. It is known that Şemsi Ahmed Pasha Social Complex, which was located in Uskudar Coast and was built by Şemsi Ahmed Pasha in 16th century, and Şemsi Ahmed Pasha Palace are among these structures. As most of the articles written about Şemsi Ahmed Pasha Social Complex are restricted in a certain period and have repetitive features, in this study, the structures belonging to the Pasha in Uskudar will be discussed as a whole with the repairs and changes it had until today. From the aforesaid structures, the settlement plan of the social complex, architecture and foundation certificate-charter which has a written decision quality to make the social complex appear and the conspicuous palace of Şemsi Ahmed Pasha among his properties will be examined. This study written up by compiling archive documents and resources, aims to bring the new information about the topic and the researchers together.
