Beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin girişimcilik becerilerinin fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Öz

Bu araştırma beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında girişimcilik becerilerinin farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmaya yaşadığı bölge şehir merkezi olan 50, köy olan 50 olmak üzere toplam 100 beşinci sınıf öğrencisi istekli olarak katılmıştır. İlişkisel tarama yöntemi ile yürütülen bu araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla 14 adet açık uçlu sorudan oluşan girişimcilik becerisi testi kullanılmıştır. Sorular tasarlanırken canlılar ve hayat ünitesi kapsamında ortaokul fen bilimleri dersi girişimcilik becerisi göstergeleri dikkate alınmıştır. Test, yörenin yemek kültürü düşünülerek turşuculuk iş fikri kapsamında geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel veriler elde edilmiş, elde edilen veriler sayısallaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sorusu kapsamında değişkenler arasında iki gruplu (cinsiyet, yaşadığı bölge, babanın girişimci olup olmaması, girişimcilik ortamında bulunma) karşılaştırmalar için Mann Whitney U-testi, üç gruplu (fen bilimleri dersi not ortalaması, anne-baba mezuniyeti, kardeş sırası) karşılaştırmalar için Kruskal Wallis H-testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında girişimcilik becerilerinin düşük olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin girişimcilik becerilerini; cinsiyetleri ve fen bilimleri dersi not ortalamaları etkilemiştir. Yaşadıkları yer, anne ve babalarının mezuniyet durumları, babanın girişimci olup olmaması, kardeş sırası ve girişimcilik ortamında bulunmaları etkilememiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarından hareketle fen bilimleri öğretmenlerine yürüttükleri etkinliklerde öğrencilerinin yaşadıkları bölgenin özelliklerini dikkate almaları ve girişimcilik becerisi odaklı bütünleştirilmiş beceri öğretimi sürecini benimsemeleri önerilebilir.

Examination of the entrepreneurial skills of fifth grade students in terms of different variables within the scope of science class

Öz

The present study aims to examine the entrepreneurial skills of fifth grade students in terms of different variables within the scope of science class. A total of 100 fifth grade students, 50 of whom were residing in the city center and 50 in rural areas, voluntarily participated in the study. In the study, which was conducted using the correlational survey method, an entrepreneurial skill test consisting of 14 open-ended questions was used to collect data. While designing the questions, the indicators of entrepreneurial skills in the middle school science course within the scope of the living things and life unit were taken into consideration. The test was developed in the context of pickling business ideas considering the food culture of the region. Within the scope of the research question, the Mann Whitney U-test was used for two-group comparisons between variables (gender, region of residence, whether the participant's father is an entrepreneur or not, presence in an entrepreneurial environment) and the Kruskal Wallis H-test was used for three-group comparisons (science course grade point average, parents' graduation, order of siblings). Based on the findings, it was concluded that the fifth-grade students had low entrepreneurial skills within the scope of science class. The entrepreneurship skills of the students were affected by their gender and science course grade point average. Their place of residence, graduation status of their parents, whether their father was an entrepreneur or not, order of siblings and presence in an entrepreneurial environment did not affect them.
