It is very vital for women, who work actively in the family life but who are unable to receive the
money for their labor and whose work is not reflected in the official records, set up their own
businesses and have job. In recent years, some public institutions or various organizations have
not been unconcerned to this issue and have started to support women entrepreneurship in various
ways as a requirement of EU harmonization. TKDK which is one of these organizations are trying
to encourage them to invest and to entrepreneurship by giving grants to people living in rural
areas. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the activities of the women
who are turning to entrepreneurship in rural area by taking donations from TKDK and the effects
of the activities of women on her own and her family, then the region and rural development.
According to the findings; it has been observed that these women, who are entrepreneurs, develop
their personal image and self-confidence in a positive way, increase their financial means and
also contribute to rural areas in many ways such as economic, social and employment
opportunities through their establishments.
