Öz

In this research, the opinions of the students related to the contemporary teachers’ quality and roles have been examined. The research employing qualitative research method and using the case study technique has been conducted with the participation of 19 voluntary high-school-students in the city center of Erzurum . 4- question- survey developed by the researchers has been used as the data collection tool. Analysis of the data has been managed by the content analysis and descriptive analysis which are the methods of the qualitative analysis. At the end of the research , it has been revealed that the students mostly use the internet (web sites, blogs, search, engineaeducational sites etc.) and the virtual world ( twitter, facebook, instagram etc.) to acquire the information they need in their daily lives; they do not see their teachers qualified enough on the grounds that they provide a unit of knowledge, do the lessons in a monotonous manner by following the curriculum only within their course hours and they do not perform the evaluations; it has been concluded that the roles students expect from their teachers are to be providing information, being supportive, a life coach, role model, emancipatory , therapist, and friend to be fair, compatible and relevant, open to criticism, constantly developing and helping students to develop by using the elements of information technologies in the courses.

ENDÜSTRİ 4.0 ÇAĞINDA ÖĞRENCİ GÖZÜYLE ÖĞRETMENİN GEREKLİLİĞİ VE ROLÜ

Öz

Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin günümüz öğretmenlerinin nitelik ve rollerine ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerden biri olan durum çalışması tekniği kullanılan bu çalışma Erzurum il merkezinde öğrenim görmekte olan 19 gönüllü lise öğrencisinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacıların geliştirdiği dört soruluk görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler nitel analiz yöntemlerinden içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz yoluyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin günlük hayatta kullandıkları bilgilere en çok internet (web siteleri, bloglar, arama motorları, eğitim siteleri v.b.) ve sanal alemden (twiter, instagram, facebook v.b.) ulaştıkları, günümüz öğretmenlerini, öğrenme süreçlerinde genellikle düz anlatım ve ezbere dayalı metodlar kullanıp sadece öğrencilerde bilgi birimi sağladıkları, dersleri sadece ders saatleri ile sınırlı olmak kaydıyla müfredata bağlı kalarak tek düze işledikleri ve değerlendirmeleri yönlendirme yerine sınıflandırma amacıyla yapmaları gibi gerekçelerle yeterli nitelikte görmedikleri, öğretmenlerden bekledikleri yeni rollerin ve niteliklerin; kolaylaştırıcı, destekleyici, yaşam koçu, rol model, özgürleştirici, terapist ve arkadaş olma rolleri ile adaletli olma, uyumlu ve ilgili, eleştiriye açık, sürekli gelişen ve öğrencileri geliştirme, teknolojiyi bilen ve derslerde bilişim teknolojilerinin unsurlarını kullanma nitelikleri olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
