Industry 4.0 is
recognized as a revolution with its impact on all aspects of life. This
revolution has found its application in the operational process. Business
Process Management (BPM) is a common principle that aims to carry out the work
done within the enterprises in a systematic way. Industry 4.0 has some impacts
on BPM as in many other areas. This study focuses on the creation of a digital
workspace by establishing a smart storage system instead of a traditional
storage process in order to reveal the effects of Industry 4.0 on BPM. The contributions of smart storage system are
shared in the application outputs section of the study. As a result of this
study, managerial contributions and cost effectiveness of smart storage system
are presented.
