TÜRK BANKACILIK SEKTÖRÜNDE BİLGİ YÖNETİMİ UYGULAMALARININ STRATEJİK YÖNETİM AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ ÜZERİNE AMPİRİK BİR ÇALIŞMA

Öz

Günümüzde işletmeler sağladığı rekabet avantajlarından faydalanmak amacıyla yönlerini bilgi yönetimine doğru çevirmiş durumdadırlar. Finansal hizmetler sektöründe bu durum daha da dikkat çekicidir. Gerek enformasyon teknolojisi sağlayıcıları olmaları gerekse finansal sistemin motoru olmaları bakımından özellikle bankalararası rekabetin şekillenmesinde bilgi yönetimi çok önemli bir rol oynamaya başlamıştır. Bu bağlamda küresel piyasalarda, birçok banka bilgi-tabanlı bir organizasyon olmaya yönelik stratejilerini belirlemektedir. Ancak bunu gerçekleştirebilmek için bankaların, doğru seçilmiş bilgi yönetim sistemleri vasıtasıyla maddi olmayan varlıklarını yönetebilmesi ve banka stratejik yönetiminin algısı önem kazanmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, bilgi yönetim uygulamalarının Türk bankacılık sektöründeki genel görünümünü yansıtmak ve sektördeki stratejik yönetimin bilgi yönetimine olan algısını ölçmektir. Bu bağlamda çalışma, bilgi yönetiminin kavramsal çerçevesinin yanı sıra finans sektöründeki konumunu da belirginleştirmeyi kapsamaktadır. Bu argümandan yola çıkarak sektöre yönelik örgütsel bir model oluşturulmuş ve tepe yönetimin yaklaşımı sektör geneline uygulanan bir anket vasıtasıyla değerlendirilmiştir.
