Öz

Doğanın Haklarının tanınması son yıllarda çeşitli anayasal, yasal ve yargısal düzenlemelerle tesis edilmiştir. Bu gelişme ile insan dışındaki varlıklar ve doğal sistemler için yasal koruma sağlanması amaçlamaktadır.
Doğanın hak sahibi olması fikri, savunucular tarafından çevresel tehditlere karşı geliştirilen yeni bir yanıt olarak görülmektedir çünkü bazı ülkeler Doğanın Haklarının tanınması konusunda ilerleme kaydetmiş olsalar da doğa hala insan yararı için sömürülmesi gereken bir kaynak olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada genel hatlarıyla Doğanın Hakları kavramı açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda hakkın ortaya çıkışındaki önemli gelişmelere ve yapılan tartışmalara yer verilmiştir.
