In this article, the transition of Orthodoxy to Russian territory and political and social developments, also regarding the church, that occurred during the middle ages are studied. Also, the disagreements in the ChurchState relations during the last periods of Tsarist Russia and anti-Tsarist policy followed by the Church during the revolution of February 1917 are scrutinized. Furthermore, it’s dealt with that the conflict between the Church and the State resulted from the perception of atheism, which embraced by the Bolshevist party, and the new position, which is produced by that conflict.
