MUSEUMS AND EDUCATION PROJECTS TARGETING VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

Social responsibility projects that many people and institutions jointly organized under the slogan “Accessible Museums,” have increased after year 2000. Today, museums became more accessible for people with disabilities. Particularly provincial special administrations, public institutions, governorates, municipalities, universities, museums, commercial companies and people undertook projects that support disability studies in various fields and developed social collaborations. These various projects opened up the museums to usage and access by museums. Accessible museums were aimed for by supporting programs that develop training and education activities that target visitors with disabilities. The implementation of educational projects that target visitors with disabilities in our museums has strengthened social communication. In the future, the increase in the number of projects that target visitors with disabilities will push educational efforts to new levels

MÜZELER VE ENGELLİ ZİYARETÇİLERE YÖNELİK EĞİTİM PROJELERİ
Öz
Ülkemizde 2000 yılından sonra ‘’Engelsiz Müzeler’’ sloganı ile çok sayıda kurum ve kişinin ortaklaşa düzenledikleri sosyal sorumluluk projeleri artmıştır. Artan projeler ile müzeler engelliler için kolay erişilebilir mekanlara dönüşmüştür. Özellikle il özel idareleri, kamu kuruluşları, valilikler, belediyeler, üniversiteler, müzeler, ticari şirketler ve kişiler farklı alanlarda engellilere yönelik projelere imza atmaktadırlar. Bu farklı projeler, müzelerin engelliler tarafından kullanımını, ulaşılabilirliğini artırmaktadır. Toplumsal yapıda da engelli projelerine yönelik işbirliklerinin geliştirilmesi, toplumsal hak olduğu anlayışı ile gelişmektedir. Engelli ziyaretçilere yönelik eğitim ve öğretim alanında geliştirilen projelerin desteklenmesi ile engelsiz, ulaşılabilir müzeler hedeflenmektedir. Müzelerde her geçen gün engelli ziyaretçilere yönelik eğitim projelerinin sayıları ve çeşitleri de değişerek artmaktadır. Gelecekte engellilere yönelik müze projeleri farklı boyutta özel eğitim çalışmalarını içerecek şekilde daha da gelişecektir
