Öz

Üniversitelerin sürdürülebilirlik misyonunu benimseyerek uygulayabilmesinde üniversitelerde görev yapan çalışanların sürdürülebilir kalkınma farkındalık düzeyleri önemli rol oynamaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı anket yöntemi ile akademik ve idari personelin sürdürülebilir kalkınma farkındalık düzeylerini ekonomik, toplumsal ve çevresel faktörler açısından incelemektir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre sürdürülebilir kalkınma farkındalığını en çok ekonomik faktörlerin etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Üniversite personelinin ekonomik koşulları ve kalkınma ile ilgili ekonomik beklentileri, sürdürülebilirlik farkındalıklarını doğrudan etkilediği için sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmada politika yapıcıların ekonomik faktörleri iyileştirme yönündeki çabalarının önemli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Factors Affecting Academic and Administrative Staff's Sustainable Development Awareness: University Practice

Öz

The sustainable development awareness levels of university staff play an important role in universities' ability to adopt and implement their sustainability mission. The study aimed to examine the sustainable development awareness levels of academic and administrative staff using a survey method in terms of economic, social, and environmental factors. According to the findings, economic factors were found to have the greatest impact on sustainable development awareness. It has been concluded that the efforts of policy makers to improve economic factors are important in achieving sustainable development goals, as the economic conditions and economic expectations of university staff directly affect their sustainability awareness.
