Sekülerlik Araştırmalarında Küresel Eğilimler (2005–2024): Web of Science Verilerine Dayalı Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2005–2024 döneminde sekülerlik konusunda üretilen bilimsel yayınların küresel eğilimlerini, performans göstergelerini ve tematik yönelimlerini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla Web of Science veri tabanından elde edilen 4645 makale Bibliometrix yazılımıyla incelenmiştir. Bulgulara göre, sekülerlik alanında 1278 dergide yılda ortalama 232 makale üretilmiştir. En çok yayın yapan ülkeler ABD, İngiltere, Kanada, Almanya ve Türkiye iken en üretken yazarlar T. Modood, M. Burchardt ve J. Fox’tur. Çalışmaların “secularism, religion, Islam, gender, democracy” gibi kavramlarda yoğunlaştığı; “post-sekülerizm, dini çeşitlilik ve kimlik politikaları” gibi temaların öne çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar, klasik sekülerleşme tezinin ötesine geçen, çoklu ve bağlamsal bir sekülerlik anlayışının güçlendiğini göstermektedir.

Global Trends in Secularity Studies (2005–2024): A Bibliometric Analysis Based on Web of Science Data

Öz

This study aims to identify global trends, performance indicators, and thematic orientations of scientific publications on secularism between 2005- 2024. Analyzing 4,645 articles from the Web of Science database using Bibliometrix revealed an average 232 articles per year produced in 1,278 journals for secularism. The countries of most publications were US, UK, Canada, Germany, and Turkey, while the most productive authors were T. Modood, M. Burchardt, and J. Fox. The studies focused "secularism, religion, Islam, gender, democracy," while themes "post-secularism, religious diversity, identity politics" were prominent. A multifaceted/contextual understanding of secularism goes beyond the classical secularization thesis is gaining strength.
