Contemporary museums function as multi-layered interaction spaces where art and cultural exchange are intertwined with spatial experience and aim to include all segments of society in this interaction. As digitalization affects almost every aspect of life, it is also transforming museum practices. This study was conducted to determine the criteria for museum inclusion and the role of digital technologies in ensuring these criteria, based on the hypothesis that new digital technological representation forms offer opportunities for the development of inclusivity practices in museums. The research was structured in two stages. In the first stage, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to investigate the concepts of digitalization, inclusivity, inclusive design, and social exclusion. The inclusion process and typologies were determined based on this review. In the second stage, contemporary museology practices supported by digital applications were identified and examined through field research and a comprehensive literature review, according to museum inclusion process criteria. The findings indicate that inclusivity in museums is an ongoing process, and different stages of inclusivity using digital technological applications support user participation.
