Smiling is effective in nonverbal communication and plays an important role in the impression of the person. Smile analysis is the most important part of the treatment approach in aesthetic dentistry applications. The dental midline is defined as the contact surface between two central incisors and is one of the aesthetic factors to consider when positioning anterior teeth. An ideal dental midline creates the desired effect of harmony and unity in the dental composition. Especially when talking about smile symmetry, the importance of dental midline position is a prerequisite when restoring the edentulous anterior region. Dental midline asymmetry and symmetry should be especially evaluated in smile analysis. Our aim in this study; To evaluate the effect of dental midline asymmetry and symmetry, which plays a role in smile symmetry, on facial aesthetic perception.
